In today’s paper, we took a look at tailback Jahvid Best. As much excitement as there is for his return to the field this season, there are unknowns as well.
The Bears will start game planning for Michigan State tomorrow. Apparently, the Spartans are doing the same thing about Cal.

Good news and bad news on former Cal wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins. The good news is he caught a 51-yard touchdown pass during the Tennessee Titans’ preseason win over the Raiders last night. The bad news is he sprained an ankle later in the game. No word yet how long he will be out.
